About the event
House of Red is the fourth Mana Siyo production of the year. If you remember The Base Line showcased on Maiden Lane where we brought one hundred looks to the heart of the city; this new chapter is larger darker and more mythical. Housed under the First Presbyterian Church of Oakland the church becomes a world where ten divine characters take the altar in a theatrical performance mixing couture music and movement in one live showcase.
The performance carries a story of love, betrayal, revenge, healing, and the tension between two dimensions the Sun Realm and the Moon Realm. Each act unfolds through costume choreography sound and narrative transforming the church into a living stage as the performance moves through the aisles the altar and the shadows.
